When to visit
Weather conditions vary greatly around the country. Winter in Australia runs from June to August, when you can expect cooler weather around the south, with snow in the Blue Mountains and mild days in the north and around the Gold Coast. Even during winter months, temperatures often stay favourable. In summer (December to February), it is warm and dry. All in all, the best time to visit is spring (September to November) or autumn (March to May).
Experiences
The scale of this wide open country is astonishing, and its ‘to-do’ list almost limitless, but there is certainly a selection of iconic experiences that shouldn’t be missed. Queensland’s Great Barrier Reef is the largest living thing on Earth, has brought over 900 islands to life and supports a plethora of marine life across its 2,300 kilometre long ecosystem. Uluru is a majestic sandstone rock of deep Aboriginal spiritual significance that rises dramatically from the Northern Territory desert and has beguiled this nation’s peoples with its rich spectrum of colours and legends for many centuries. Sydney with its iconic waterfront setting, Harbour Bridge and Opera House making the most lasting of impressions on any new arrivals, is often lauded as one of the best cities in the world. Its collection of world famous bays and coves, lively café and restaurant culture and local arts scene also create enchantment for visitors. The Gold Coast’s year-round good
weather, endless sandy beaches, theme parks, wildlife encounters and vibrant hospitality make it one of Australia’s most popular and enduring holiday destinations.

Areas of Australia
Gold Coast:
Enjoy golden fun-filled days and glittering action packed nights on Australia’s Gold Coast which serves up a heady mix of sun, surf and sand. A vibrant metropolitan city with so much to do, the party centre is Surfers Paradise with the action spilling over to the neighbouring precincts of Broadbeach and Main Beach. With year-round sub-tropical sunshine, safe sandy beaches, resort and championship golf courses, stunning canals, festivals, awardwinning restaurants and cafés, major theme parks and attractions and some of Australia’s largest shopping centres, the Gold Coast is easily one of the world’s greatest holiday destinations. The theme park capital of Australia is the perfect place to create family memories to last a lifetime.
Sydney:
Australia’s oldest city is set around one of the world’s largest and most beautiful natural harbours. Built on low hills interspersed with wooded bays and inlets, Sydney is visually dominated by the iconic Harbour Bridge, the downtown towers and the glittering white shell-shaped roofs of the Opera House – an intricate maze of water and building that provide dramatic views at every turn. With its superb climate, wonderful beaches, thriving cultural scene, excellent dining, diverse shopping, lively nightlife and casual friendly atmosphere, Sydney is undoubtedly one of the world’s most appealing cities.

Home to world-class arts and cultural heritage institutions, surprises can be discovered in every basement, rooftop and laneway.
