Lampedusa Curri Run, scheduled between June 23rd to June 26th, will be a particular sporting event. The run consists of three stages for runners and walkers, located in the most beautiful places on the island of Lampedusa. Lampedusa Curri is carried out throughout four days, with picturesque and breath-taking scenery and views to admire while on the run.


The idea had its inception on a sailboat in the middle of the Mediterranean, in front of one of the wildest, most fascinating Islands. Three men in a boat, certainly not three persons whatsoever. Gianni Morandi; the famous Italian pop singer, actor and entertainer, and Claudio Baglioni, who is considered one of the greatest songwriters and singers in Italy and one of the greatest figures in the Italian music scene. The third person is Stephen Soverini, who together with Morandi had been the mind behind the ‘Run Tune Up’ fifteen years ago. Run Tune Up, which is ‘Bologna half marathon’, has grown over the years to become one of the most appreciated 21km run in the national scene. The idea was to organize a sport event in Lampedusa- in a unique natural setting, rich in breath-taking views combined with extensive relaxing atmosphere.
