INGLOT COLLABORATION WITH KENZO

Paris, France] – For KENZO’s Spring/Summer 2018 show held June 25th, INGLOT and its team of talented manicurists collaborated with iconic nail artist Naomi Yasuda to create a blazing back and red ombré nail look. With the mesmerizing quality of a blazing evening bonfire, the look is sure to inspire fall nails this year, but also served as a powerful contrast to bright spring and summer looks shown on the KENZO runway.

“The inspiration was Japanese supermodel Sayoko Yamaguchi – She was a model actress in the 70’s and 80’s, and she was also Kenzo Takada’s muse,” said Naomi Yasuda, lead nail artist sponsored by INGLOT. “Her look was very unique, she was known for her beautiful black hair and red lips. So this season for the KENZO nail, I created black and red ombré nails.

“It’s very simple and clean yet chic,” said Yasuda. It almost looks like a Japanese lacquer ware.” The manicures were complimented with glossy black pedicures.

The Look: Red and black ombré nails
The Products: Naomi began with a base coat of the INGLOT Ridge Filler. She then applied a layer of the blazing red using INGLOT Nail Enamel 805 and created the black ombré effect with a sponge using INGLOT Breathable Nail Enamel 692, and sealed with INGLOT Dry & Shine.
