The Accounts Clerk will support the Finance Department of ROCS Group Malta with day-to-day accounting tasks, with a strong focus on retail operations across the Group’s outlets. The role involves handling sales reconciliations, processing invoices, monitoring payments, and ensuring accurate financial records in a fast-paced retail environment.

You must also possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Familiarity with POS systems and retail accounting processes is an asset.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good organisational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple departments.

The key responsibilities of this post include:

    • Process daily retail sales and perform cash, card, and online payment reconciliations.
    • Reconcile POS (Point of Sale) reports with bank deposits and accounting records.
    • Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and discrepancies.
    • Prepare and post journal entries as required.
    • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
    • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Liaise with store managers regarding sales discrepancies, refunds, and financial queries.
    • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
